  1. I am going to follow engineering.First year examination contains fluids.So I need a self-study book to cover that part.I tried it internet a bit,but I failed.So please give me a help………..

  2. I want buy akindle fire but I don’t know if I can load it with free ebooks, and in that case how I must do it?

  3. I am planning to write a e-book on a tight budget, what’s the resonable price? how to select a good writer?

    Thanks,
    JP

  4. Okay, I’m confused. You asked for where to find a good writer for an e-book and then you said you’re writing it. Why do you need a writer, if you’re writing it?

If you have the idea, but want someone else to write it, they’re called “ghost writers.” There are three kinds of ghost writers – good ones, bad ones, and cheap ones. You can’t get both good and cheap.

If you want to write it, but you need someone to make it better, that depends on how good you are as to what those people are called. If you’re simply bad, but you don’t want to improve, then you’re back to “ghost writer.”

If you’re mediocre to good, but not good enough to make a book worth buying, then you need a writing coach (expensive) or an editor. (Ain’t cheap.) Editors come in the same three varieties as ghost writers – good, bad, or cheap. (Cheap implies bad, if you haven’t caught on yet. lol)

But, there is one other thing to know about getting help with your e-book, all these people come in horrible and scammers, too. To find anyone good in those fields, peruse WriersDigest.com to learn how to pick out good ones from bad one.

BUT, since you’re apparently on a budget and still want to write it yourself, (I think) there is a cheap alternative – learn to write by How-to books. That’s what I did. And, because I’m merely adequate as a writer, after I learned how to write a novel through books, I’m now getting other writers to help me make it better through a writing site online. If you go that route and get that far, then come back here and ask for names of those sites. Truthfully, if you choose the way I decided to go, it’s going to take you a few years before that e-book is done (and it might not be a mere 50 pages and you might decide against it being an e-book by then), so you don’t need that info yet.

    So, good luck.

  5. I’m a teacher and I’d like to take one of my coursebooks and convert it into something useful for the interactive whiteboard. I’d like to scan some of the pages and to access via pc and insert some clickable/interactive audio into the scanned pages. Is there any software for making interactive presentations with page scans?

  6. I’m going on a deployment and need to find a reader reads both EPUB file and PDF format ebooks, hopefully with the dictionary implemented so when I cross some vocabulary, I can touch/highlight it and look up its meaning. thank u!!!

  8. I’ve written a novel and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good e-book publishers that I could submit my manuscript to? I found a few already, but the submissions were closed!!

    Thank you.

  9. Try Twilight Times Publishing…..they produce quality eBooks and (if your book sells well) print on demand versions.

  10. are there other e-book readers?

how many books can an e-book reader hold?
does it have wifi so i can download on the go?

anything else you can tell me about it would be much appreciated.

  11. I have the Kindle, so my answers will reflect my experience with that device. There are several other ereaders. Sony, Barnes & Noble, and Apple also offer ereaders. There are thousands of free books available. All of the books at Project Gutenberg are free because the copyright has expired. My Kindle can hold 1500 books, but I have only downloaded ~ 500 in the year I have owned it. Once you have finished reading the book, you can remove it from the Kindle, and it is archived at the Amazon site, so you can download it again if you like for no charge. The Kindle has wireless built in, so you can download on the go.

The battery lasts about a week when fully charged so long as I am not connected to the wireless. Now I keep the wireless turned off unless I am actively downloading a book.

You can subscribe to newspapers and magazines for a monthly fee.

IMHO the Kindle is best for text-based works. Graphics do not display very well and there is no way to enlarge or zoom.

There are six font sizes to choose from ranging from microscopic to OMG, I can read this without my glasses!

The device goes to sleep if you forget to turn it off.

It is very sturdy. I have dropped it so many times, and it still works.

I love it. Best money I ever spent. I used to have to carry pounds of books, now I have an entire library in my hand.

Downside – not all books are available, especially out of print, but still i copyright books published before the ereaders. You can send a message to the ublisher that you want to read the book on Kindle. I hope they get the message soon so I can download the backlist of authors I love.

  12. I just finished my e-book entitled “Improve Your Life”. It is about 70 pages, but they’re small pages. I’m looking for someone to read it and tell me what they honestly think of it. I don’t have any money to pay someone to do this but I would be willing to do the same for them. I’ve already tried writer’s circles and craigslist. Any ideas? Anybody want to take a look at it?

    Thanks!
It is a self help book.

  13. Pay them.

  14. I understand most people do a PDF of their eBooks but, how do most people distribute the e-book to the buying customer? Is just sending them an e-mail containing a non editable version of my ebook fine

  15. You would only provide an editable version of if you were licensing it with resale rights, usually it’s a master resale right (MRR) than entitles customers to edit and re-title the work, with their own author credit.

Most ebooks are distributed as .pdf files, (around 2005 .exe books were distributed which could offer the author a bit more protection, but turned into a real virus problem.)

You can just have a secret download url that you email to url customer, which is prone to piracy sharing. Or you can pay a service to host the files that also provides short term download links to provide a bit more copy resistance.
